Dr. Datta joined TCG as a Principal in January 2010. Dee has more than 12 years of experience in biomedical research, biotechnology startups, venture capital, business development and investment banking. Most recently, Dee was a consultant to TPG Biotech where she evaluated early stage investments as well as large structured financing deals. Prior to TPG, she was at DE Shaw & Co. where she was responsible for business development activities for an internal biotech investment. She has also worked at Healthcare Investment Banking Group at JP Morgan, where she focused on mergers and acquisitions for biotechnology clients. Dee is also a founder of Allozyne, a biotech startup developing next generation biologics.

Dee earned her Ph.D. degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biophysics from California Institute of Technology and MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
