The Column Group will primarily focus on early stage drug discovery companies, an area currently underserved by many biotech venture capital funds. Each of these companies will comprise a "Big Idea" backed by outstanding science with strong therapeutic pipeline potential. We will invest in 10-12 companies per fund, with the understanding that innovative and compelling ideas, as well as the top scientific and management talent are rare.
