The Column Group will primarily focus on early stage drug discovery companies, an area currently underserved by many biotech venture capital funds. Each of these companies will comprise a "Big Idea" backed by outstanding science with strong therapeutic pipeline potential. Our portfolio will comprise 8-10 companies in total, with the understanding that the most innovative and compelling ideas, as well as the top scientific and management talent to drive them, are rare.

We are currently evaluating opportunities in the areas of cancer, inflammation, infectious disease, metabolic disorders, cardiovascular disease and nervous system disorders, leveraging the unique expertise of our team, which includes some of the most prominent authorities in these medical fields.
